Keynote Badge Review
This week, along with the Pages badge, we had to read the Keynote iBook, earn the Apple Teacher Badge for Keynote, and create the project that is included in the iBook. Again, I have never used Keynote before and had no idea what it was. I was pleasantly surprised after exploring this app and I am now wondering why I haven't used this app before, or why no one has ever mentioned using this app. I can honestly say I will consider using this app instead of Powerpoint or Prezi, like everyone else will probably be using. This gives students and teachers a better alternative than Powerpoint and Prezi. I also noticed that Keynote has more advanced features than Powerpoint, so you will be able to accomplish more by using this app over other ones. Also, I've always thought that Apple products are very easy to navigate, and this remains true for Keynote (and Pages), so that is a plus when introducing this app to students for the first time. Especially if the school mainly supports Apple over Microsoft, Dell, or other software companies, and if the students are already familiar with Apple Products, like myself. This is definitely a go-to in the classroom!
