My First Infographic made with Canva
This week we were to create an infographic image that could be used in a classroom! After looking through Pinterest and some examples of other students' work, I decided my topic was going to be over ways to stay awake during class. As a student, school can get boring day after day, and although it is my job as a teacher to keep my students engaged and alert in my classroom, I want my students to know ways they can help themselves get the most out of their education. These are tricks that I have done as a student that have truly helped me, so I wanted to share these tips with my future students. All these tricks came from my own experience, which makes this infographic very personal for me! In order to get the inspiration for my topic, I searched through Pinterest and found Infographics that interested me. I pinned those on my Infographic board, which can be found here: www.pinterest.com/hnkoenig/infographics/
The app I chose to use for this assignment was one I have already used for this course, Canva. I liked it the last time I used it and I thought it was fairly easy to navigate through. This a free app, anyone can download it and use it just like I did. This app can be very versatile in the classroom. It can be used to make posters, infographics, social media posts, photo collages, invitations, and much more. This is very kid friendly and they will be able to learn how to use it very quickly! The only limitations the app has, in my opinion, is that some of the icons and images cost money to use in your creation. However, it does let you upload your own images. Before using the app, I viewed a YouTube video to help me being to navigate the app, which can be found below. I think this app is a great tool in any classroom! It can be used for so many different things and can really enhance students learning and any classroom environment. |
